Mr Byrne's blog; That woman!

Good God, what is wrong with Maggie Polpin? She'd cause a fight in hell! I have to admit my pride is hurt. I am a good man, I've done nothing wrong in my life. Always been an upstanding member of the community. I can't say the same for Maggie Polpin. Sure she didn't give a damn when her husband died, was almost glad of it. Didn't want to leave much of a memorial to him either. What sort of woman does that? And sure her daughter Katie was having it off with that married fella before she got married. And Gert and her brother ran away. You'd think Maggie wouldn't then refuse me as a suitor, would you? But she did! More than once as well! Don't get me wrong, I think she is great craic, some sharp wit on her too. But sure, I'm getting older, would like a bit of comfort in me later years and sure, wouldn't she be great company? Frisky too if the rumours are to be believed! Well I tell you, I've given her her last chance. She ran me out of her shop last evening and if she wants me in the future, she'll have to come and beg.
